| Comparing Video Cameras |

Overview
This procedure is used to evaluate the performance of video
cameras used on board water rockets.
|
Equipment
- Video cameras to compare.
- Standard scenery
Procedure
- Attach both cameras to a common board so that they
both film identical scenes.
- Start recording of both cameras.
- Point the cameras at different scenes, such as
bright and dark areas. Rotate and pan the cameras to
compare the level of smearing and distortion due to
horizontal scan rate in the images.
- Obtain comparison images/video from the two cameras.
Notes
- Take note of the data and frame rates produced by the
different cameras. You can get this information from the
captured video files.
